For more than 30 years APS has been
providing solutions for airports
around the world. Our exclusive focus on serving the airport industry led to a deep understanding of the scientific aspects, such as aerodynamic and acoustic theories and makes us true experts in our field.
We pride ourselves in providing reliable, customer-centric solutions. Whether you need a simple blast screen or a complicated GRE, we are the partner you can rely on.
The technology created by APS is leading the industry for jet blast deflection and the reduction of ground run up noise. Such noise control facilities are noise protection walls arranged around the aircraft on two, three, or four sides, even completely closed/roofed, in combination with an exhaust gas stream deflector placed immediately behind the aircraft. Depending upon noise protection requirements, wall elevations up to 20+ meters can be, and have been implemented.
APS has developed an exceptional knowledge of the problems airports face when dealing with jet blast issues. Blast screens supplied by APS provide an ideal solution to maximise usable space and improve safety for taxi, breakaway and even full power blast. These screens greatly increase the efficiency of existing ramp space and allow personnel and vehicles to safely operate near taxiing aircraft whilst also providing an aesthetically pleasing look.
APS is a systems supplier for integrated solutions, including engineering, design, supply and installation. We also provide engineering support as a stand-alone service, for example, to assess improvements and repair work. If you need assistance with any engineering work, we will be pleased to support you.
APS provides cost-effective, simple noise measurement services. Whether you are in need of a first consultation, require a measurement of the current noise status or need an acceptance measurement for an executed project, we will be pleased to help.
APS is fully capable of carrying out maintenance work on facilities supplied and installed by others. We can provide you with a single point of contact across al disciplines: for electrical systems, mechanical, hydraulic and other moving parts to guarantee the serviceability of a facility and to make maintenance delivery easy and reliable.
The Airbus facility is the largest of its kind in the world. The first run-up enclosure for the A380 was built for Airbus Industrie’s Toulouse operation. The full power tests required prior to test flights are incredibly noisy and, for this reason, a solution was required that offered high usability and excellent acoustic performance. APS built a circular facility to address the varying local wind direction, with 20m high performance acoustically treated walls: based upon a proven concept originally developed by APS for a project in Dortmund, Germany. The Airbus facility is the largest of its kind in the world.
